Margarita Ingredients:
2 oz Tequila (preferably silver or blanco)1 oz Boozy Botanist Hibiscus simple syrup (see below for instructions)
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Triple Sec or orange liqueur
Salt (for rimming, optional)
Lime wheel or hibiscus flower for garnish (optional)
Instructions for Hibiscus Simple Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine Boozy Botanist simple syrup mix and 1.5 cups of water.Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar dissolves.
Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
Strain and return to glass bottle.
Allow the hibiscus simple syrup to cool before using it in your cocktail.
If desired, rim your margarita glass with salt. To do this, wet the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip it into a shallow dish of salt.
In a shaker, combine the tequila, hibiscus simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and Triple Sec with ice.
Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
Strain the mixture into your salt-rimmed margarita glass filled with ice.
Optionally, garnish your Hibiscus Margarita with a lime wheel or a hibiscus flower.
