2 oz Tequila (preferably silver or blanco)
1 oz Boozy Botanist Hibiscus simple syrup (see below for instructions)
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Triple Sec or orange liqueur
Salt (for rimming, optional)
Lime wheel or hibiscus flower for garnish (optional)
Instructions for Hibiscus Simple Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine Boozy Botanist simple syrup mix and 1.5 cups of water.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar dissolves.
Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
Strain and return to glass bottle.
Allow the hibiscus simple syrup to cool before using it in your cocktail.
Instructions for Hibiscus Margarita:
If desired, rim your margarita glass with salt. To do this, wet the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip it into a shallow dish of salt.
In a shaker, combine the tequila, hibiscus simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and Triple Sec with ice.
Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
Strain the mixture into your salt-rimmed margarita glass filled with ice.
Optionally, garnish your Hibiscus Margarita with a lime wheel or a hibiscus flower.
